Erasmus+ BIP - Discrete Event Simulation - Technical Skills

Awarded to Emmanuel, Danton
Issued 3 July 2026, 4:32 PM
Course: Discrete Event Simulation 2026 (Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme)

The Open Badge BIP-DES - technical skills - is assigned to international students that have participated in the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme on Discrete Event Simulation. The students had to develop simulation models of relevant applications using different tools, analyse them and find the best configuration that allows to achieve given performance goals. The students worked in teams and used online collaborative tools to share the artifacts and to organize the teamwork. The following technical skills have been acquired or improved; they are encoded following the DigComp framework and the ESCO classification framework. DigComp: 2.1 Interacting through digital technologies 2.2 Sharing through digital technologies 2.4 Collaborating through digital technologies 3.1 Developing digital content 3.4 Programming 5. Problem Solving ESCO: K0542 - Statistics: Statistics is the study of collecting, describing, arranging and analysing numerical data. The study of probability theory and actuarial science is included. K0688 - Inter-disciplinary programmes and qualifications involving information and communication technologies (ICTS) - scientific computing: The interdisciplinary field between computer science, mathematics and engineering. It concerns the employment of technical approaches and theoretical frameworks, and the use of computers, to address issues in science and engineering.
